The Marsico Institute for Early Learning and Literacy, in partnership with the Ann M. Logan Lecture Series, proudly presents an evening with Dr. John Medina. Dr. John Medina is a developmental molecular biologist and research consultant, and author of the New York Times bestseller Brain Rules, and forthcoming Brain Rules for Baby, to be released in October of 2010. Join us in this unique opportunity to bridge the gap between brain development research and the practices of adults who care for young children. This lecture is aimed at early childhood professionals, family and pediatric health care professionals, and parent advocates. With Dr. Medina’s engaging style and provocative approach to creating “brain-friendly” environments, we will challenge ourselves and our communities to turn scientific evidence into the actions needed to provide a more secure future for our youngest citizens. This event is offered to the Early Childhood community, free of charge, however reservations will be required. Invitations with response instructions will be sent in early September. For information please call 303 871 2217, or email Cheryl.Jackson@du.edu. |
